Rainbow-7: Data Shrouded in Mystery

 Today, the CCTV Military WeChat public account briefly introduced the Rainbow series drones, including the Rainbow-7,




but this questions when compared to the publicly available data of the Tianwen drone.


The Rainbow-7 made its first full-scale debut at the Zhuhai Airshow, leaving a strong impression of its massive size. However, its reported maximum takeoff weight of eight tons seems questionable given its size.


The aircraft, claimed to be capable of high-speed penetration, has a cruising speed of only 0.5 Mach, slower even than the Tianwen.


There's only one explanation: the data is deliberately underreported. As a special aircraft designed for sustained covert reconnaissance and intelligence gathering in high-threat environments, it's common to conceal its true capabilities. We eagerly await the day when the Rainbow-7's full specifications are declassified to reveal its actual performance.
